Gia-Gina Across the Pond

So I've decided to follow my husband to his native Italy. Follow our adventures as we eat, drink, travel, adapt to and explore this remarkable country. Part food blog, part photo blog but mostly my rants and raves. After our two years in Italy, we relocated across the Atlantic "pond" and are back in the States.

I have not been paying that much attention but the ParaOlympics must have begun this evening. Loud booms and a fantastic firework show greeted me as I came home from running errands at about 7:30 pm.

This is my sister's passion. She is a sports injury therapist and was a volunteer in Athens -- the colunteers had to pay all their own expenses, travel, etc. Italy decided they didn't want no stinkin' foreign volunteers. Strange, eh?
