Another reason why cats are better dogs (please don't send me hate mail readers).
Yes, cats also poop outside... BUT at least they are nice enough to hide it! hehehehehe!

I completely agree with you! Walking the sidewalks near our house is dangerous! We live near the park and I think that when people bring their dogs to the park the dogs can't quite make it to the grass. I have only seen a handful of people clean up after their pets in the whole time I have been here. The worst is when they leave a mess in front of the gate to our house! (Ugghhh!)

My neighbors' dog poops in my garden and then they tell me it's the cats. Sure, my cats have decided to come out of cat tradition and let it all lie around. Why? Because they are so proud of the size of those poops!
There is so much dog poop on some streets in Italy that even the dogs have to watch were they walk. In my 4 years there I have never seen anybody clean up after their dog. Yuck!
AND it SO pisses me off because IF only people would clean up a little bit we could have a dog too. But the thought of our dog walking in all that dog doodie DNA that is in the street in front of our portone and then tracking it in the house is...not acceptable. What to do, what to do??? We are going to have to get a little birdy instead... but to be perfectly honest I would rather have a dog.....
Hmm.. I'm surprised because when i went to Como. I saw many dogs and no dog poop. ^^;
The dog poop is a giant problem here and people think they own the streets, sidewalks and grassy areas around them. I have a feeling that the people in this city feel a sense of entitlement and will not stoop to picking up dog waste. My husband won't do it. But I always do.
Italy needs someone to really invent "Va POO rize" LOL! Did you see that movie "Envy" with Jack Black? Rent it if you have not, it's pretty funny.
