Gia-Gina Across the Pond

So I've decided to follow my husband to his native Italy. Follow our adventures as we eat, drink, travel, adapt to and explore this remarkable country. Part food blog, part photo blog but mostly my rants and raves. After our two years in Italy, we relocated across the Atlantic "pond" and are back in the States.

Doggie Dinner

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I've kept cooking to a minimum while Demetrio has been gone. Tonight however I made pasta and look who eats pasta like a real pro. Have you ever seen a dog slurp pasta? Well he does!

That dog is just too cute!

You have a great blog - very intellectually written, unlike my insane ramblings! :-D

Keep it up!

LOL! So cute! Actually, my dogs would be in good company with yours, as they, too love to slurp their pasta. ;-)

BTW, Sweetnicks recently started a dog blogging weekend. You certainly have a good-looking candidate to join. ;-)

You have some spammers making comments, Gia. If you don't delete those, they'll send out "waves" across the network to other spammers and you'll be blasted.

I think blogger has an info page somewhere about it.

Anyway, your Slurping Pasta Dog is just too damn cute.

Adorable photo. I love that he learned to slurp. I have a cat who trembles with anticipation if she smells pesto. None of my cats ate pasta in the US, but they learned to here when the neighbor put out her leftovers from pranzo, and now they are dedicated spaghetti hounds.
At my agricola, they sell pasta especially formulated for dogs! Only in Italy!

Good evening Gina,

I think you might remember me. I’ve met you twice . . . once when I made an obviously poor impression and the second time was at your and Demed’s Seattle
wedding reception at Jazz Ally.

I saw your husband, Demetrio today, briefly, just enough time to catch up with the current state of our lives. He told me that you were not enjoying Torino, Italy very much because it is boring and he told me about your blog.

So tonight when I had some time I started reading your entries and it gave me an opportunity to get to know you a little. You are really a beautiful person. I was touched, entertained, and sad while I read your entries . . . sad that I hadn’t had the opportunity to get to know you while you were in Seattle; as you are clearly a special person with a lot to offer. Although I kind of already knew you were special . . . Demetrio makes it clear who is number one in his life . . . YOU.

After reading your blog I felt compelled to write you. I have a soft spot for kids and I enjoyed your stories about the children’s lives that you have touch. I also enjoy cooking and photography. These are hobbies of mine that I’m always eager to learn more about so when I came across your recipes I immediately started grabbing them so I could try them out sometime.

So thank you for sharing . . . I really enjoyed your humor, heart, and honesty.

From the rainy city good night,
Meladie

Whoa, whoa , whoa! Now that photo takes the cake! And is that SPAM in your comment box???!!! Deficienti!

I've really been lax about keeping up in the blog world as now I've found an alternative way to horde my time... reading the newspaper. Something pleasant about leafing through pages instead of straining my eyeballies looking at the monitor.

How long is Deme gone? We should have lunch. We could train it to a halfway point between Lecco and Torino to cut travel time!

Hi Gina,

Thanks for the comment you left for me. My main blog is letlooseinlondon.blogspot.com - the one you left the message on is one I have access to, which is my friend's in NY!

I am currently living in London, hence the title of my blog, and there is a lot more info on that then the other one, even though it has been going for just under the month.

See you around, chick!

Christine
