Gia-Gina Across the Pond

So I've decided to follow my husband to his native Italy. Follow our adventures as we eat, drink, travel, adapt to and explore this remarkable country. Part food blog, part photo blog but mostly my rants and raves. After our two years in Italy, we relocated across the Atlantic "pond" and are back in the States.

This sunflower field looks like an "Under the Tuscan Sun" photo but actually we are in the heart of Umbria. In many regions of Italy sunflowers are planted for later harvest of their seeds which are made into oil.

What a fab weekend! The color of the sunflowers are so gorgeous, that yes, it does bring up the thought of Under the Tuscan Sun...hehe.

This weekend was a busy one with small errands as usual. I told my husband that we should have gone to wash the car. My theory being that whenever you do, then it rains. Man we could use some heavy rains to cool everything off right now.

Glad you like it and will get a chance to visit someday right? I just checked flights to Guam and Seattle yesterday, 1300 for Seattle in Aug. and 1550 for Guam in December. It's an arm and a leg but worth it no? Anyways save up cuz' we plan to move back to Rome in the future and I'm giving you a heads up now. Also you'll be received another postcard you may or may not have to decipher for me. Ha!Ha!

Gia,
When I read your comment regarding the dog, I thought you were Gaia from Milan. Ha! You had me fooled with the italian!

I hope you are holding up okay in this damned heat. How are things getting along? Today of all days would have been a perfect day for you to hang out here. Hubby is gonna be gone all day til midnight perhaps with stuff and I don't need to cook. hehe.
